ROAD TRIP - DRIVING TO OREGON

The nice thing about driving opposed to flying is the fact that you can actually see the landscape change, although it is slowly. The landscape the first one hundred miles after we left San Francisco looked like above. After that I was driving so I couldn't make any photos - there were some landscapes that were absolutely breathtaking (I sometimes got so shocked with awe that I suddenly slowed down. Luckily my passengers didn't really notice much of that because they were sleeping mostly. I wish I could sleep in a car, if I could do that I wouldn't be so incredibly tired with only half of my brain left working at the moment (I'm still in Portland as I'm writing this).

When it was someone else's turn to drive it was already getting quite dark. The landscape changed to more green and pinetrees. There were some mountainous areas and I could sense the car having a bit of trouble with going uphill but it seems to be fine. It makes a very stirdy impression, the car.

It was around eleven at night that we arrived in Portland at another friend of Ashley's place. We had to leave quite early in the morning, before she went to work. Her cat Simon slept next to me on my pillow that night.
