I went to visit Margìt and Persijn. They live at Silverlake. Hills are steep there as somewhat shown on the photos above. I didn't dare to drive my car up there because I feel it lost a lot of its power and it would just slide down. Very steep hills indeed. Margìt and Persijn are staying in a cellar/gardenhouse of some soap actress. It's completely the opposite of RAID, which is more industrial and around RAID Projects, where I'm staying, there are no trees at all. M&P are living in a fairytale house, with a garden and such:
That same evening I went to see Brian Getnick's performance ballet at a nightclub in Downtown called LaCita. It was your typical mondaynight nightclub night, with half-naked male dancers and a sweaty audience. Strangely enough the videoprojection in the background was some sort of documentary about the 1992 Los Angeles riots:
There was a lot of gold and red and glitter, it was very Amsterdam Gay:
Below, there's Brian, who was playing the mouth-harp during the whole performance, and that made his mouth bleed in the end (he needs to improve his technique). In the performance there was also Max Moore as one of the 'pumpkins'. The other pumpkin is Max friend Josh. I think they're both in the army. Max is in the US special forces, which might have inspired Brian for the performance. Brian is wearing a real squid around his neck, by the way.
I filmed the last part with my photocamera. It's of poor quality, but believe me, it was a quite impressive performance, especially in the setting of this nightclub. I think Brian should do this kind of 'army'performances in daytime, outside, unexpected in Downtown LA. The 'pumpkinheads' were saluting on the music and 'recruting' members from the audience:
