On my birthday I was mostly drawing but in the evening we went for a birthdaydrink first at the Gold Room and later at The Short Stop, both on Sunset blv. Above there's Margit, Persijn, Jason, Max and Jenny, who's organizing the Los Angeles and Chicago art fairs.

This is Ashley, she's Jasons girlfriend and an assistant to a photographer who's currently working on a series of photos which are taken in homes where there has been a homicide. For the photo's a spray is used to light up the remains of the bloodspatters on the walls and floors. I'm quite curious about the photos.

After the Short Stop we went for some excellent real American food at some place closeby, I had onionrings and some sort of potatomush. When we got home everybody went to sleep except for me. There were some people on the stairs of the studiobuilding next to RAID and they invited me for some cocktails. We ended up in a studio of some guy called Scott, who has only one-and-a-half leg, made an arcade-game corner in his studio with a floor like in the movie Tron (blacklit ofcourse), works with 3D animation on enormous computerscreens in another corner of the space which looks like the cockpit of a spaceship, drives a Delorean, is 42 years old or something (and probably still a virgin, I'm not quite sure but it's highly possible), collects actionfigures and puts his own moulded head on them (!) and owns a bunch of computergames which he plays on this giant projectionscreen. In short: he's the übergeek. Or, as Nakhee explained, an otaku (it's Japanese for übergeek). I forgot to make a lot of photos of the studio, but I'll do that later. I'm Scotts 'golden bikini', by the way, whatever that title means. His friends were a bit less geeky, but still.

In the early morning when I went back to my studio I secretly and subtily pimped the Delorean. I hope it's not permanent, I bet Scott would immediately take away my new 'golden bikini' title.
